take the black lid off and check there is water in there if not press down on the valve :D

check the pumps are running :D

Yep, theres water in there, right up to about 6 inches from the top. The water is cold at the top :(

Ummm, what pumps? Are they on the pics above? If so, which ones are they and how do I know if they are running?

Sorry, I'm a bit of a divvie when it comes to this sorta thing

OK, think i know what you mean now.

The big green thing bottom left is hot and seems to be making a noise. Theres a switch with 3 levels. Its currently set to 3. If i move this down the noise decreases

The other big thing, far right also has a switch with 3 settings (the black box). This is cold and not making any noise and nothing happens when I change the setting (which is currently set at the highest of 3 settings)....

Also took some more pics.

This one is the pipe coming out of the left hand pump thing. Theres a damp patch at the bottom and some werid white stuff coming out the top of the pipe. Has a chalky textture to it.

the chalky stuff is lime you have a leak
could be the coil in the cylinder limed up ?
if you set it to just hot water does the pink pump run ? :D
where does the pipe from the cold pump go ?

You mean on the thermostat in my kitchen?

If I have just water then nothing seems to be happening with the pink one. If I turn on the heating and water then the pink thing seems to be doing something. Can feel it vibrating and getting warm
