Making outside lights wifi enabled

Hi

I have several outside lights running of a 1 way switch.

I want to make the to have the ability to switch on/off via an app, would this device do the job?

Does this be wired via the cable running to the outside lights?

Also, my switch has 2 connections wired.

Yes it will work, but personally I would use Tapo as it means you can use both the switch and app, and it is so easy to fit, just two wires.

How far will they operate from the WiFi hub?

Furthest lights would be around 15/20 meters away
