Hi

I am going to put a music room in my loft space so rockwool roof etc...also going to out an outside staircase up and cut out a door for external access as oppose to going from inside house. I do not intend to update the deeds with any extra rooms...for the sake of sale...so is planning permission for when you intend to convert fully to living space and intend to include it in a sale? I do not want to get them involved at all, I own the house so I just wanted to get some advise.

Thanks

I would imagine that external access to a loft space wouldn’t look very nice, could be a security risk, wouldn’t be cheap and could devalue the house or make it harder to sell. Is there any reason you can’t put a decent set of stairs to the loft from inside the house?

Thats made me worried so thanks for that, I think I will pass now and put some stairs inside...

Hi it looks as though its back on as the wife want to have a place for her Yoga , she can do 1-1s up there but the access does not want to go thru the house and take a room up with stairs,
Idea is:
Side stairs up to a door with access to yoga studio, basically just empty space with plastered walls, then at the end a music room for me, so using full length of house, it would not be a full on conversion as I am not changing anything structurally so it falls in line with
Permitted Development Rights rule.
without planning.

I have attached a few pics of what it will look like thanks for helping out on this.
