Makita Radio

I just use an IP rated BT speaker and play Radio 4 via my phone (yes- I am old). I do however have unlimited 5G access on my phone. When working somewhere with a poor phone service- I just play music or audio books stored on my phone. The speaker is about 6" long, 2.5" tall and deep. I paid about £40. It has USB-C.

Downside, I need to charge my phone more often. Probably not as loud as your Makita.

Upside, when a call comes through, the speaker notifies me. Additionally, if I climb down the scaffolding, lock away the ladders, but forget to turn the speaker off, I can turn it off via the app and if I forget to do that, it is set to automatically turn off 10 minutes after the BT connection is lost. Also takes up less space than my DAB radios. It is stereo but the speakers are so close to each other that it mean little.
