Any local metal fabricator could do that, it's not specialist.

Its about 650 x 500 - an old cast iron cover manufactured by Torwood Forge... I googled them and and they went out of business donkeys years ago. I've searched everywhere for a matching cover but whilst the size seems fairly standard, nothing I've found matches the curve of the corners...

I do not know who this was, but howabout a search for "manhole cover manufacturer Staffordshire". I see 192 show only two addresses in Staffordshire.

What about a Clark A15? No good for traffic though.

It's very easy to replace the lid and frame so you could fit any shape replacement.


If you want one custom made from checker plate like the guy above was offering your local metal place will be able to curve the corners and weld some strengthening to the underside. No need for £100 postage.
