The link I provided, it's not always an open and shut case in these affairs. As was pointed out women are no longer seen as the victim in sexual matters but can be seen as the aggressor (equal) For instance' animal sex' was touched on and the jury was asked not to take a moralistic approach.
So what can happen neither side wins only the legal teams.

The 21-year-old last pulled on a team jersey on 22 January 2022 at Old Trafford, in a 1-0 win over West Ham. He was arrested later that month, then, in October, charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He denied the charges.
Greenwood is an innocent man by law but United’s statement regarding his future shows there is no guarantee he will be welcomed back, despite being contracted until 2025 (the club has the option of another year) and a multimillion-pound asset.
It said: “Manchester United notes the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped. The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not make any further comment until that process is complete.”
Greenwood will not return to training as the club seek to understand better the circumstances of the charges, in a process with no timeframe.
After a year has been taken out of his career - and a chance to go to a World Cup - i think he's been punished more than enough for an alleged offence for which he's been exonerated.
Why does his accuser escape further scrutiny for false claims? It can't be right.

Do they expect instant justice 'just cuz they said so'?
When the case is inevitably going to include people remembering what happened, do you think a 5 year delay is going to help?
Justice within a reasonable timeframe doesn't seem to be silly. For both the victim and the accused.
Being a witness in a rape case is widely viewed as being horrible and many survivors say it prevents them moving on with their lives. Five years of additional stress is a hell of a lot to bear.
It is a great deal of stress; but if they feel strongly about their torment then seeing justice done would be sufficient motivation for them to pursue the case, i'd say.
We don't have a significant problem with people falsely claiming rape in this country. It's vanishingly rare.
But we do have a problem that people won't come forward to report rape, or won't engage with the justice system, because it is well known that it is crap, horrible and that there should be no confidence in it getting justice at the end.
Someone who has been raped does not have any obligation to report it and suffer years of additional suffering. It's laudable, but optional.

The club will have behaviour clauses in players' contracts. Thus the club would want to conduct its own investigation on that front.
You have nothing other than your own opinion to back this up.
For all you, I, or anyone else knows, the low percentage of "successful" rape convictions is due to a significant number of those cases being false claims.
Truth is, only the two involved know what happened, and even they won't in all cases.
That's the view of the CPS and police I believe, although I have no stats or quotes to hand to back that up.
If anyone has some to confirm or disprove it I'd be interested.
I read the Sun's headline and backpage yesterday and they've already made up their mind he's guilty; influencing a large number of readers to think the same. What will never change in these cases, or almost any case involving alleged illegal and/or immoral behaviour, is the old saying 'mud sticks.'
Imagine you get into a lift at work and a woman is in the lift. You say hello to each other and that's it. You don't really know her. However, for reasons only known to her, she goes to the managers and accuses you of trying various sexual stuff with her.
It's investigated and you're found innocent. However, to a % of the folk in the company (and gradually people outside the company as word spreads) you'd forever be known as 'the guy who tried it on with x in the lift ... dirty pig.' If we're being honest, we can all be guilty of it sometimes.
