Mason mitre on worktop by handsaw

right ive just loaded up 2 piccys of my worktop,i hope there is enough detail to give you a good idea of what can be achieved by using a hand saw,biscuits,poly glue,colorfil and maybe a block plane.

this was done approx 6 years ago and its 30mm worktop.

let me know what you think of the pics,if there crud ill try and upload from my digi camara rather then my c.rappy phone.

Interesting how a joiner states a "new standard blue handsaw" As an "old school" carpenter & joiner I would not use anything but a properly sharpened Disston.
 
As a professional carpenter and kitchen fitter i'd say dont even go there.
So are you saying even yourself would not be able to do it by hand saw?

i have done it by hand before, but a router gives you a far better cut and its a lot easier. find a local chippy and ask him to do the cuts for you it will take him about 20 min and will cost you a drink

YEAH RIGHT,your really going to use a beautiful piece of engineering on a scabby bit of bush-board.YOUR nuts if you did. :LOL:

i like the BACHO barracuda saws,they feel firmer then the ****e jack saws you can get.
but lets face it there all throw away.
