hi just to round off i managed to open the MAX files with paperport but the problem is i still can't change the direction of pages done on the side or upsidedown.
the best i could do is transfer them to adobe and then rotate but like already mentioned cant save them like this.
so anyone with MaX files can open them it's just finding the right program
