Hi All,

I have a Heatrae Sadia Megaflo unvented hot water tank which has started leaking into the tundish, I've performed the re-charge process but it still leaks after approx six weeks.

I've had an G3 engineer have a look and he suspects that the baffle has perforated and is letting water into the area where air should be.

He's given me two options:

Add an external expansion vessel to my existing Megaflow

or

Replace the Megaflo

Which is the better option? I was thinking that if an external expansion vessel failed it'd be far easy and cheaper to replace the vessel than change the Megaflo (as I'm finding now)

Anyone been in the same predicament?

Thanks in advance, Mark

There is a good chance your mega flow is still under warranty, if it is indeed the internal membreane breaking down it will block your taps and showers, there are many posts about that on here

Hi,

Did you sort after? If so what option did you go with?

I ended up replacing the Megaflow, I couldn’t take the chance of having plastic in my pipes..
