Fabdec made all the Megaflo branded cylinders until about 2000.
They have different fittings on them and when they fail as far as we can tell there is only one person at Heatrae who still can give parts cross referencing.
They are differently shaped cylinders, narrower than the current models that really are made by HS in Norwich.
The fact that HS subbed out the manufacturing does not in any way absolve them of liability of manufacturing defects.
What I do not know is the warranty period that they were offering at the time. When you ring them about the pre 2000 series Megaflo no-one is particularly helpful, you get the feeling they do not consider it their problem.
Mind you, the later ones built in Norwich are no better. At least yours lasted 7 years
