Hi everyone,
I would really appreciate some advice. I installed an energisava210 around 10 years ago but recently I am finding a considerable volume of water trapped in the upper section of the heat exchanger cube (About a litre of coldish water just now when I tilt it into a bucket ). Upper section would line up with the exhaust air from the house wet rooms.

When I check inside the chassis there is considerable condensation on the lower quarter of the unit that vents to outside (which id expect) but nothing anywhere else and the filters are both dry.

I’ve asked envirovent support and they replied that water retention isn’t expected in the exchanger and suggested water was getting in from an unexpected source (like uninsulated pipes )
To make matters worse some water is managing to leak out the front of the unit onto the attic floor .(twin drains are fully functional so the unit is now held out at the bottom in an attempt to push any excess water back to the drains)
All piping is stainless steel wrapped in foil insulation and joints all taped up. The unit was level and plumb on the wall but now out slightly at the bottom.
All this water also seems to have affected the humidistat so the fans have also been running faster than maybe they should.
The unit is still handling condensation in the house especially with the recent cold weather but I don’t think it’s working correctly along with an ongoing risk of flooding the attic.
On a final note , and to confuse things more, if I rinse the heat exchanger in the sink water seems to correctly pass diagonally through the matrix.

Has anyone ever experienced anything similar? It’s basically beaten me and apart from checking there isn’t a blockage in the exhaust to outside I don’t know what else to do

Thanks for getting this far and any pointers would be greatly appreciated
