Hi,
Have a very old and reliable vented tumble dryer, which owes me little. Has started turning off not long after starting with "cooling down" flashing on display. Sometimes runs on but seems as though no heat is being passed when running, vented air is cold.
Checked so far:
-No obvious blockages, duct is clear and air felt blowing outside.
-The carbon brush things (moisture sensors) still have some meat and contact the drum
-Thermostat, button pushed - no click - and has continuity/no resistance with multimeter
-The sensor next to the thermostat on the heater (NTC?) reads around 120kOhms at room temp
Can't work out how to actually check continuity on the heater
Anything else to the check? Does the NTC reading seem right? Think if the heater it may be a right off as they seem really expensive (but easy to change)
All help/tips appreciated - I hate throwing things away if I can help it
Thanks in advance
