Hi, I'm trying to replace my elderly fathers heating thermostat from an older dial one to a new digital one (MiGenie Wish 1)
He has a Vailiant ecotec pro28 combi boiler. When i opened the pcb unit i noticed the thermostat was wired up directly (see pics). I have removed the old thermostat and connected the new thermostat to the 24V RT connection where the previous one was. Is this correct? or do it need to be connected to the 230V RT connection? Also, there doesn't seem to be a connector for this? The heating does work on and off using the new system but it does see to take a long time to get to the temperature? Have i wired it correctly?
(Attached are pictures of the old thermostat wiring)
TIA
