Even so, the legislation referred to does not in itself define a national legally enforceable room size, and only applies in specific instances that the legislation covers .... ie the Housing Act does not apply to all Housing, planning and building regs do not apply to all building work etc

I was merely pointing out that marc401 did have a source for his information, although he was referring to legislation that was for HMOs, not family dwellings.

Of course, rather than your sarky comment to marc401, wouldn't it have been simpler for you to have pointed out to him that the legislation referred to HMOs and not family dwellings.
