I need to mitre the long edge of a 200x30x20thk limestone tile which is giving me a headache. It's these mosaic tiles, but I need to install a couple of them in a stretcher bond arrangement around the front face of a fire place, with the herringbone mosaic inside the actual fire chamber.
It's an outside corner, about 110 degrees. I don't need a perfect mitre, I just need to take enough material out to get the two tiles close enough to get a grout line between them.
I'm going to try and make a wooden jig that I can sandwich clamp the tile in and then run them through my cheap wet cutter to keep fingers out the way. Any other ideas?
