Hi all, I have just moved house and trying to get the shower working. There are mixer taps in the bath with a shower attachment. When running water through the taps everything works as expected.
When diverting the water to the shower attachment everything goes freezing cold. One exception is when you just feed hot water in, and that works fine as a scalding hot shower! So when any amount of cold feed is present, it takes over completely.
I have tried holding the shower attachment at tap level (maybe a pressure issue with the high shower head?!) and still the same problem.
Any ideas why it works fine through the taps but not through the shower? If it is relevant, I have a gravity fed hot water system, cold tank in loft, hot in airing cupboard, heated by a boiler downstairs.
