MK 50 amp DP destroyed

Got called to fault on a hot cupboard in a school, site manager said there was a flash from the switch and it would not work, 32amp RCBO had tripped, 13 amp fuse in plug had blown, all down to a dead short to earth by a wire rubbing on a steel cover.

I dismantled the switch later and the contacts had welded closed, thought it might have stood up to more

Any idea what the PEFC (at the location) was?

Quite ancient, looks like a custom made job, element is one of those bendy one size fits all affairs
