You can also incorporate energy saving functions like timers to limit the time the shower will run for or have an over ride OFF switch outside the room to stop teenagers running up huge electric bills.
Take care when locating and housing the contactor. Contactors with AC coils can get warm in normal use and the coil may over heat if dust or other items prevents the magnetic path fully closing. The contacts will close before the magnetic path is fully closed so the overheating coil may go un-noticed.
