Behave - presumably you take a dump every now and again so can i build a sewage treatment plant in your back garden?

I wouldn't make that comparison - would you like one in your back yard?

Besides, mobile phones require a mast i think every couple of miles IIRC. Sewage works needn't be so frequent on our landscape. ;)

That's what I'm saying - no I wouldn't want one near me and yes I do (need to?) use a mobile - so maybe I am a hypocrite. However there are lots of other non-essential (OK sewage is fairly essential) things that we use and there are consequences - and most of us wouldn't want the consequences on our doorstep. I'd object to the construction of a petrol station next door, but I still want to use my car...

They are putting these masts wherever they like it seems - near my sister they sent everyone notification of one, everyone objected, and yet it still got put up. Also in other places the council forgot to respond to the phone companies appeals in the required time, so again up went the masts.

I'd advocate the use of a couple of 4x4s and some long rope - quicker than the angle grinder I am sure....

and you dont even know where they put them sometimes, inside buildings etc. Still they make the money and so does the government with the licences. Everybodys happy with limited planning regs.....wonder why. Yes i do use one and no i wouldnt want one near me, but what gets me is the fact that big money talks and they think they can stick them anywhere they like and there is no proven link of them causing harm. What happens when we prove it then??

The trouble is that they are getting really clever at hiding it. Nearly all petrol stations have masts hidden inside the forecourt price signs and amazing, most McDonald's restaurants have them hidden :!: Where will it all ends :?:

Perhaps the mobile phone operators can design a lower powered mast thats designed to fit up the local councillors r's. See how many objections are lodged then :p That truly would be a mobile phone mast.

After skimming this, I am fully in favour of mobile phone masts anywhere, any place. The way they go on, you'd think they were on death friggin row.

And it happened again in 2002!!!! Christ, like a couple of hours every 5 years is really making their lives a misery.

As for your first quote, RF, that really is bulls**t isn't it!!! The spike's not on their land, and even if it was, theres no laws regarding "energy" being "put" into other people's land. I wonder if their neighbours have a TT system with the rod less than a mile from their land. Shame on them.
