Joe,
I am willing to take your point on board, but I have tried various googling variations and have been unable to find a breakdown of Operation Ore 'nabbees' by occupation. Do you have a link we could look at ?
If you look through this list you will get an idea of the professions that are up to no good. It's the same old crowd.

Thanks,
A couple of points that may or may not be valid:
1) Whilst a fair proportion of offenders appear to be from the medical profession (or teaching), that is not the same as a fair proportion of the medical profession being offenders. I personally have no worries about my GP examining my sons.
2) Did they gravitate towards the medical profession because of their interest in paedophilia, or did their experiences in medicine drive them to seek out these images
3) Do there appear to be more of those professions, just because they are the more newsworthy.
4) It could also benoted that a fair few gravitate towards careers in IT.
As an aside, I have been working at my factory in the US this week (in fact, I am typing this on a Wi-Fi connection at Dulles airport) and there was a picture up on the notice board giving the address of a convicted offender, so I popped round to have a look. No paint bombs, torchlight and pitchfork mobs, broken windows or the like - very different to what would happen here.
