More tool madness

We've probably all heard of hex bolts and hex (allen) keys and the like. Does anyone know where you can get the Pentagonal equivalents from. This anti tamper proof tomfoolery is very annoying.

It's multiple massive (1st world problem ) irritations. Yes pentbolts or whatever they are called, pentalobes 5 point torx, tri-stars, the list goes on and on and on.... annoying.

Suppose.. it'll be reverse threads next... or 3 turns clockwise 1 turn anti 5 turns clockwise... [Mr angry]boils my blood [/Mr angry]

I see 5 sided bolts feature quote heavily in welding forums..... now I wonder why

Tri wing screws are cool....with a driver in your pocket you can partially dismantle your 737 on the way to Spain :ROFLMAO:
John :)

One last question... bear in mind I have no access to any tools at the present time. I presume a 10mm hex allen key is 10mm point to point, and a penta key would be also 10mm point to point?

Imagine a pentagon sitting on one of its flats.....the size is from that flat to the vertical point directly above.
John :)

Not doubting you.. but that doesn't make sense to me.. but then many things don't

OK try this....
Imagine a pentagon, end on.....looks like a traditional boy scouts tent, maybe?
Its size is from the ground sheet to the ridge pole.
John :)

A/F on a pentagon? Can you elaborate, rs?
John :)

Yes indeed on a pentagonal socket, where would 10mm be, point to point, point to flat or flat to flat ? Reason I ask, is that I have access to an engineering lathe, and I am tempted to make a set of pentagonal keys ;)
