Mosaic (Scantronic) Alarm making clicking noises

Hope someone can help.

I got home from work this eve to find my alarm making a fairly loud clicking noise every second or so. I don't use the alarm, the last time I had anything to do with it was when I accidently set it off while redecorating a room. Had to get an engineer out then as didn't know the deactivation code.

The clicking is coming from the outside alarm box and the display is just flashing stars at me. It's completely unresponsive to any input :(

It's got a Mosaic logo on it but looks similar to Scantronic 9651 but with four extra A/B/C/D button running down the left hand side. I really don't want to have to call out an engineer (though suspect I'll have to), anyone have any advice?

Thanks.

Your batteries are going dead. Most likely the battery in your siren is failing. You will need to climb up (wear ear muffs) open the box and see what battery it has and get a replacement.
It could be your control panel box battery that is failing but that would more likely be indicated by a sound at the control panel rather than the siren.
The siren battery may be old and no longer accepting a charge or the power feed to it may be broken.
