So we've just had a borehole drilled and are running a new water line 20m from it to the house. I've arranged for a local guy with a machine to dig the trench 750mm deep and have the sand to line it etc. The pipe will need to be joined under the ground at one end where the supply comes out under the pump shed in a duct. It will also need an elbow under the ground at the house end where the pipe is coming up the outside wall through a groundbreaker insuduct (the solum is notably higher than the ground level outside so going under the foundation is impractical). The one thing I'm not too sure about is what fittings will give the most reliable joint at each end the seems to be quite a few brands: JG, Plasson etc. And both compression and push-fit varieties. Can anyone recommend which joining system to use for maximum reliability where the pipe will be buried? Are there any to avoid that are known to be quite unreliable? Many thanks in advance.
