Moving hall pendant light

Yeah, I do just want to extend the switch cable - but I thought, from the above posts, if I terminate all three existing cables (both feed cables and the switch cable) in a 20 amp junction box and then put in a new cable from the fourth terminal leading to the new rose location, that will do the trick. Or is there another way. I'm now confused!

If you use a JB for all the cables then this will make it easier in the future if you want to put up a new light (or move it again ;) )
As you are going to have to fit one anyway this seems the most practical solution.Use 4 terminals (Live, Neutral, Switched Live and Earth) to connect the existing light cables and then run a new wire to the new light position and connect into SL, N,and Earth in the JB

Ok brilliant thanks - so if I wanted to run a light to another part of the hall I could just tap into the JB and add in an extra pendant cable (obviously it would operated on and off from the same switch as the main pendant).

thanks again!
