Multi burning stove installation

Had a quote today just to fit the liner to building regs, included plates, capping, liner and installation. £1500 +vat......think i'll be sticking with my fireplace!

vards01.. i bought and installed mine last year all by myself.. built hearth, fixed plate, put in liner and redid the chimney pot. all by the regs... then got chappy i know who is HEATAS certified, he checked all my work and he gave me a lovley certificate for £60. come and have a look if u like.. am only in sunny leigh on sea.. PS.. you have to do it. it was the best thing i have done.. is easy peasey...... then just throw a rug infront of it and away u go..

The only bit that worries me is getting up on the chimmney stack as its about 5 / 6ft above the apex on a semi d. I'd need a cherry picker I think.....this is what the quotes are saying which I'm getting. Had a more reasonable one today supply and fit inc liner 5.5kw stove 1599 + vat......didn't seem too bad to me.

Don't know what stove your having or how much you could get it for "on line" but it sounds good; just make sure he is registered & you get your cert.

just a quick point. IMO the most important part about this whole procedure is the STove itself. After mr fitter has been round and u have paid your hard earned reddies u sit down it the cold light of day in the middle of summer and the stove looks Sh1t. U don't actually like the look of it!!! OH dear.. IMPORTANT IMPORTANT . U choose the stove, go and have a look around some shops. Find the one u like then find it for half the price on line.
