My Photo of the week

Go to your pictures folder.

Open a picture which you know was taken with a digital camera, opening it with microsoft office picture manager is best, right click for properties, look to the right of your screen.

If you do not have this program, download Picasa 2, I think its the best free picture manager available, again open the pic and right click/properties.

In some places in the US (e.g. sports clubs) camera phones are banned from changing rooms / toilets!

How soon before we have it here.

It is called EXIF data. Not all cameras/devices save this data but the vast majority of modern one's do. There is a great deal more info that can be saved also, dependant on the device. Of course, a lot of the info could be wrong and is user defined, the time and date for example, if this isn't set right on the camera itself, it won't be right in the EXIF data. It's a useful feature in many ways, for example if you have your photos developed, you can just tell the lab/developer that you want all phonts taken on a specific date(s) and they will get this info from the EXIF data, or you can arrange the photos on your pc so you can view them in the order they were taken, etc.

You don't need to use an application either, just right click the file itself, choose properties and summary, it's all there.
