im not sure how hot that maximum setting is to the hand, I will have to find out.
We have a combi boiler and I keep the water temperature setting down on that but increase it when I want to take a bath.
That way, I know the kids cannot scald themselves.
I think that all showers should be thermo controlled though.
Again, ours is so we are pretty safe.
I can remember as a child being in the shower and it suddenly going freezing ( some one else using the tap at same time I think?)and so turning off the cold water, only to find it then suddenly being scalding hot!
nanny statish maybe but I think all baths should have removable plugs.(as opposed to those that you twist a dial and it locks them and you cant take them out completely.
I always removed plug and put it up high so my babies couldnt fill the bath and drown or fill the bath and scald themselves.
