Need advice bending a pole to make a table attachment

I would agree.....finding pre-formed alloy tube is much easier than bending it without a genuine former.
Springs or solid packing just about guarantees a kink in the alloy wall.
Are you intending to go into production with this, OP? Finding a firm to produce just a couple will prove difficult, I fear.

@Burnerman the big plan is to make millions (eventually!).
So yes, plan to find a company to make. But wanted to make a prototype to prove the concept first. Would be happy to pay a company to make the prototype.

It's a simple idea that solves a problem for a group of people - it will be a God send solution.

I would prefer to have manufactured in the UK. But not confident of getting the right price.

This Go Outdoors chair uses square section tube, which is much easier to fabricate - and plug in plastic joints are also available......can't remember what they are called though!
Have to wish you luck - competing with the Orient can't be easy!

That was my original thought, Eddie....easy enough to fabricate in a garage or whatever. 22mm is easy to bend when annealed - 28mm much less so.

I can't find a manufacturer who already makes the chair.

I'm on a mission.
Either I'll make a prototype or find someone to make in China - problem is they want you to commit to buying 1000 pieces!
