Neff dishwasher - dead

Personally I would assume it's age but that's a guess

Are you confident to swap the control module yourself?

Yeah, having seen it when the repair guy had it out, it looks easy enough - it's just all plugged in. I'm having such a dilemma though cos if I get the module and it's something else as well, then I've wasted money buying the module. I could just go buy a new dishwasher (probably Bosch as it's the nearest to Neff without the price tag) but will it last as well as my Neff which is 12 years old, made in Germany - so many brands are producing their low end stuff in China, Turkey and goodness where else.

I'm terrible at decisions lol

12 year old ,not worth spending that amount of money to repair. Just buy a new machine.

If memory serves me correctly Bosch and neff are made in the same factory

I bought a Bosch machine second hand around 10 years ago and it's still going strong , I would happily buy another one when this gives up the ghost

Yeah, Bosch, Neff and Siemens are one in the same basically I think.

If I've to replace it, I'm torn between a John Lewis own brand and the Bosch................... suppose at least I'm down to 2 :/

John Lewis appliances are made by electrolux I think , personally it would be the Bosch.

However John Lewis customer service is supposed to be very good indeed

What's the price difference ?

Still going with the Bosch , more features, and I can't stand the control panel of the John Lewis machine looks like something from the 1980s

I nearly swayed towards Zanussi cos I found a stonkin great deal on one - then saw they didn't deliver to Scotland. It'll be the Bosch then
