Neighbour going back on an agreement

Sling a few moles over the fence, collect some dog dung and get yea self a catapult and use is garden shed as target practise, get yourself a drum kit and practise in the back garden, get yourself one of those giant trampolines and invite all the local asbos round for a bit of exercise.

Then after 2 weeks ask him are yea sure yea dont want a new fence up.

Then in that case, put the fence in, taking up 1/2 next doors garden too :D

just put the fence up then lose the bramble bush and deny it like he has denied you his payment

A guy in our office has recently arranged for a builder to come in and replace the gutering and downpipes along the entire row of 10 houses of which he lives in one. They all agreed to pay 1/10th of the cost and they all paid up fine. A few weeks later one of his neighbours is now saying that the builders broke some tiles, the gutter is leaking where it wasn't before and they've removed some netting she'd put over the gutter to stop it filling with leaves and not put it back. She now wants my mate to speak to the builders about this and she refuses to speak to them herself as my mate employed them and says if he doesn't get them to pay for it of sort it out she'll get someone else to do it and send him the bill. The builders are saying it was all fine when they left it and there was never any netting in the first place.

My advice would be to sort your own boundaries out and don't involve your neighbours. We planning to re-do the fences on all side of our property, some of them are probably our nieghbours responsibility but we're just gonna put up a new fence on our side so we get what we want and to avoid any disputes. There is nothing written in law that says you have to get on with your neighbours - its just luck if you get nice ones and if the guy in question doesn't even live in the house himself then he's unlikely to give a damn about p***ing you off!

Settle an arguement please. If you do build a fence between you and your neighbour, is it true that you must put the ugly (framework) side facing your own garden?

That’s a piece of nonsense folklore & god knows who dreamt it up; if it’s your fence you can do whatever you like & paint whatever you like on the other side but it mustn’t be offensive or derogatory.
