Indeed. As has been implied, there could be one fairly easy way, but it would be distinctly 'naughty' (which is why we're not writing about it) .... As others have said, what you are trying to do is difficult/impossible without a Neutral.
I thought of that sort of approach (which could be done with grid modules, if one didn't want a 'glow plate), but I can't see how it could be made to work with 2-way switching. With incandescent lamps/bulbs, it might be possible to do it by putting a small capacitor between the strappers, but I can't see it being a viable approach with CFLs or LEDs.However, Would you be happy with the reverse - where there is a Glow Plate around the Switch that is illuminated when the Loft Light is out, and not illuminated when Loft Light is on?
Not, I think, if there is no neutral available (unless the 'naughty' approach were used!).I am sure there are grid switches which can be used to give what is wanted.
Install a small LED plinth or decking light in the ceiling that comes on with the loft light. Two way light switching (two switches), switching light in attic. One in attic one in hall. Need a switch in hall with a light that indicates loft light is on. Looked have not seen one. Any suggestions?
Doesn't matter what parts you use - how will it work with no neutral? You can build a two way switch with neon using MK grid plus. K3632+K3702+K4889+K4981
