Hi. According to the nest thermostat installation instructions ,the thermostat has to be powered by a theee pin plug. Is there no way to just use a fused spur and wire it directly into the house wiring?

I assume by....
wire it directly into the house wiring?
.... you mean without a "three pin plug"

If you wire the Nest thermostat to the Heatlink 12v terminals T1 & T2, then you won't need a plug. The thermostat will be powered via the Heatlink which is supplied from a "fused spur"

The guy who bought the last Nest thermostat I installed told me that they don't come complete with the plug in power supply now, and he had to buy it separately with the stand.
