I am generally handy and have tackled most stuff but always tended to steer clear of plumbing and water. Should I consider replacing my bathroom suite myself?
Break the task down, look at every bit before you start and make sure you understand it, and what exactly you're going to use to replace it with and how. Easy!
Before you start anything make sure you have a contingency plan....and fund !
If the flies start buzzing around you then it's probably time to call in a plumber
I replaced a kitchen sink for the first time a little while ago without too much bother.....mind you I ended up on flexible tap connectors after screwing up on the soldering
I fitted mine a long time ago. I found the hard part was tightening the bath taps, as these need a special tool- I couldn't think of any other way. Ended up borrowing one from our works plumber. There's not much room behind there- if it butts up to a wall.
I used that idea on flexible hose for a temporary bath setup.
Tiling is hard work, well I found it was.
No trouble with flys if you do it in winter!
Or anything else you do in winter
