Going to look into it but it's going to be a tricky one due to the pipes and the slope of the ceiling but going to give it a go. Wondering if should try and patch with some plasterboard first though!

Might be a good idea to try and patch up. If it were me, i would cut away more on the sides to gain better access to behind and fix battens, fix new PB and skim over....

Thank you yes was definitely going to cut more away on the right hand side for sure as it's just flapping in the breeze and will at least expose that batten to be able to secure plasterboard to and thank you I didn't think about putting in a new batten as that would make life easier when securing the other side!
Just as a little update, heatable weren't happy with the state of my boiler and they are sending the engineer back to tidy up place a board behind and rehang the boiler unsure if this will be plasterboard or something sort of chipboard but I'll take it over what we currently have/don't have!
