Thanks, I think keeping it isn't an option unfortunately as we are having problems with it.

I did think it was weird that some places recommended 15kw and others 24kw... it's a 4 bed house fwiw, with a water tank (partially powered by solar) powering one shower and one shower/bath

My 4 bed detached house is just under 15kw. My 18kw boiler spends most of its life on minimum output.

I definitely wouldn't be removing your current system, yes change your boiler by all means but dont fit a combi
