Hi there, wondering if you are able to help! I've had new central heating system fitted and the immersion heater and old boiler have been removed. They were both on their own circuits. The gas engineers left the switches/fused spurs for both in the wall and said they didn't do anything other than remove the wires going into the plug. What I wanted to ask was - is it safe to leave it like this? Should I ask the company to install blanking plates as part of the new central heating job or if not, would I be able to do this myself?
Thanks so much

The plug I mean is the fused spur that was used to turn the old boiler on/off.
Thanks so much!!

As long as they removed the wires that came out of the Fused Connector Unit (and Switch for Immersion) then yes, that is safe.

You can use them and/or the circuit for something else if you want - maybe a socket where the immersion was.
