I can only comment on my own personal experience in my own geographical area as to the state of the majority of installations that I`ve seen.
Very few do not have any defects.
Quite a few of those have serious defects.
Once I`ve seen them or suspect them then I need to correct them or investigate further before considering changing a CU, surely?
I can not comment on what others may find in their own areas, it may be a completely different situation.
