New flat roof guarantee

Just got a new CureIt GRP flat roof. The job they've done looks really good, part of the quote was a 20 year guarantee.

I'm expecting some sort of guarantee certificate - he seems to be dragging his feet sending this across. I haven't paid yet.

What would you normally get for the guarantee? Has anyone ever had to claim on a guarantee on a roof before?

Very rarely is a guarantee underwritten and tbh is only as good as the company that did the work.

A 20 year guarantee is useless if the company ceases to trade.

All IMHO of course.

A cure it grp guarantee is only for the resins used so only covers the product and not the installation ,basically worthless as the installers provides the workmanship guarantee and if this is not insurance backed( it will not be)it's only as good for as long as he trades.
