Hi there. Some help replacing an old MK double switch with a new MK switch. Wiring is early 90s. Both switches have secondary switches for the same lights.

Just doing L1 - L1, Com- Com etc didn’t work. Assumed top row on old unit was one switch and bottom row, the other.

Many thanks.

What MK range is this new switch?
There has just been a recall on some of their wall sockets.

They did have a cheap range that disappeared quickly.

Then they reintroduced another but it obviously isn't much better.

My first impressions are that "essentials" was designed by someone who has no clue about UK electrics, while "base" seems broadly comparable to other budget ranges in the UK, lacking some of the fancy features of MK's "plus" ranges but not having anything obviously wrong with it.

It was "essentials" double switched sockets that were recalled from the market.
