The Focus - around 07-09 plate, whichever model that was - suffered from water coming from the bonnet and dripping down the plug ports, getting by the plug caps. This gave the awful issue of them rusting in place and gave much grief
Never happened to me - the ones that I had snap on me were tapered plugs from the old Fiesta iron head.

The old Ford tapered seat plugs - another one of their ideas - like their CV carb and the "aerodynamic" sierra. And possibly the cat on the Probe, stunk of rotten eggs as you drove off from your executive home .

The Sierra had taper seat plugs, F7Y's and the VV carb on the 1.6 L I had. Now becoming classic cars!
