I have to admit that until a year or two ago I was a walking "gay stereotype". Kylie, Steps, S Club etc. I still do listen to that music, and Rachel Stevens new single (So Good) is an excellent example of modern pop music.

However, I also think that the reason I've been into the "mainstream gay" market is because there's been f**k all else worth listening to. I never got into the "britpop" thing and as for Oasis, I think they deserve shooting.

Recently, however, a very welcome turnaround is happening...

I heard a song last year which turned my opinion of music on it's head. It was "In the Shadows" by The Rasmus. Excellent, excellent record.

Since then I have been actively looking out for similar stuff. My top tracks of the last year now include Lost Prophets, Staind, Evanescence, Keane, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, etc.

I'm hoping that this genre continues to be popular, it's (in my opinion) a good direction for music to be going in....

I have to say Simon, that Kylie, Steps and Rachel Stevens are the mind-candy of heterosexual males from 14-40... so if I were you I would be worrying about appearing too straight! ;) As soon as you start putting "Hollyoaks" posters up I think your Nigel is going to be asking some questions  (by the way, I have heard that putting up "heterosexual" posters in a gay flat is known as "straightening up the place" )

On the flip-side, I'm a steak-eating, beer-swilling, bottom-pinching hetero but I do actually own a few Bronski Beat and Communards CDs, and I know all the words to most of the more popular Village People songs... I have been known to attempt a Jimmy Somerville-falsetto around my more homophobic friends

And don't get me started on showtunes... "zoom zoom, zoom zoom... the world is in a mess!"

I was talking about the music, not the breasts! ;)

FWIW, I have seen Kylie live twice now (once very close), and she is genuinely a very beautiful woman. And she really is even more diminutive than she looks on screen - she's teeny-tiny!

PS. I don't think Nigel would be worried if I put Hollyoaks posters up in the flat - he fancies Justin as much as i do.... ;)

Isn't she 4'10 or something?

I went to see Britney live a few years back, from our vantage point in the first few rows it was cameltoe-licious.

YEAH RASMUS in the shaddows, what a tune!!!!!
and yeh to the rest, killers FF ect

snow patrol got on my nerves a bit though
- overplayed

Yep, she's "uber-petite" (horrid mix of language there, but kylie's multilingual anyway).

As an aside, your "camel toe" comment reminded me of a humourous mp3 I have of the same title, passed on to me by a straight friend about a year ago. If you haven't come across it, email me (address in profile) and I'll send you it (I'm sure you'll find it funnier than I did, by default!)

Although petite in height i was amazed by how much another proportion of her had increased from the early eighties to the nineties having watched her performances close up on TOTP over that time period and i thought girls had stopped growing by their twenties. ;)

best cameltoe for the k .. sweetness ,when she was lil kylie

was earlier Neighbours where white panty an bulging lips were the norm in the Late 80s

a lot of sites have a bulging BROWN puss from her jumping around as a school girl

(I forget that school teachers name, the fella, he who married her in Emmerdale the bar maid just dumped not her , what was the old guy in all of Neighbours ?)
