Despite Steve's earlier comments, I have a Samsung Omnia II and i'm very happy with it - easily the best phone i've ever had. The missus has just upgraded to the HTC Desire and as Crank39 said, she is very happy with it. It does everything my Samsung does but is a bit faster. Theres pluses and minuses for both of them but i'd says hers is a little better - i've had mine almost 6months now so i'd have expected things to move on a little since then.
No idea how either compare to the iPhone - I wouldn't buy an Apple product if they were £5 each - buy one get one free.
