Hi all,

I've just taken over an allotment, and the shed was leaking badly. A new roof was needed. I've done the job today, and it looks like it's watertight- so that's good. But.............

The corners where the felt sticks out in 2 directions don't look very tidy- is there a specific way of folding them in like a bedsheet?

Secondly, 1 corner has ripped slightly (1cm) right on the vertical edge of 1 corner. It's on the overhang, but I'm sure it will gradually start to cause problems. What's the recommended way of fixing? I'm guessing tube sealant of some kind or a tape.

Thanks in advance

You normally trap the sides down with a crude fascia board, all round.

Thanks. I have done that, but the corners don't seem very neat.

I might just have too much overlap, or I'm overthinking it!

I treat the corners like wallpaper - cut a slit in the felt to make it more manageable and fold it back under, as Noseall suggests.

Thanks everyone!

The good news is I was down at the shed today, and everything looks watertight. I'll tidy up the corners following the advice above!
