New sockets

I want to add two additional sockets in a bedroom. Currently there are two double sockets on the ring main - one of these already has a spur going off somewhere.
From advice and earlier posting I believe I have two options.
Option 1 - Add a spur from the socket add a junction box and 13A FCU
Option 2 - add a 30A junction box to the ringmain and run the sockets off this.

Which of these methods would be preferred and if option 2 does it matter where the junction box is on the ring.

neither:

fit new socket, pull cable from existing socke put into noe socket, run cable from new socket to old socket.

this way no jb required

cable is 2.5mm twin & earth, and hope origonal cable is long enough
