New Thermostat wont work

Hi,
My issue seems to be the same as all I did was change my old damaged Honeywell stat with a DT90E. The programmer comes on and off but the heating did not come on this morning ? As you found out their are only two wires needed (red and yellow to A and B) The black and earth are unused.....
