Hi Guys

As some of my other threads show , we are having our house refurbished and extended.
The windows are now being fitted, however they are very reflective when you look at them from the outside, but completely clear when you look out from the inside

Is this normal as the window company says its because they are pilkington k glass and this is the standard look

The first picture shows the top 3 right windows as the new windows the bottom ones are the old ones and the last 2 pictures show all the upper floor as new windows at sunrise this morning ( it is an east face housing )

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Its probably just the current angle of the sun and the angle of the house.
Yes modern glass does have coatings that reflect heat back into the house (legal requirement).

Like those odd days when the sun reflect from the road and blinds you for a few hours of the day at certain part of the year I expect it will only be occasionally that reflective.
Its one of those things you will have to wait and see but there is probably not much that can be done about it. It may even be a case of the scaffolding making it worse at the moment by reflecting light at an odd angle.
