Next door keep setting off the security light . . . . .

Hi, any clue how I can reduce the beam, left and right, that my security light switches on. It is on the lowest level and pointing straight down but we have only a small garden and next door keep setting it off. Can you tape up the sides of the motion detector to narrow the beam? Would that work?

Theoretically it would. I have had a lamp in the past which the beam could be adjusted by some simple black plastic shutters which slid from side to side.

Please confirm if this worked.

I'd leave it as it is if I were you. The sooner it lights up the better your security.

Just put a 300 watt bulb in.
