i had an accident a few years ago working on apartments in manchester, i know a bloke who works for the NHBC as an inspector and told him of the accident, he told me he inspected that block, but they dont inspect each individual flat, the whole block is classed as one building so they treat it as one and check the way in and out and all the other regs that goes with checking one building. now i had the accident due to the joiners lack of knowledge or more than likely he was following some other pricks work or under a lot of pressure to finish. now i saw a lot of problems and short cuts, some you wouldnt beleive, and he told me we do not inspect any of the flats. so where does that leave you if you own a flat. is it NHBC guaranteed? if so does it mean the flat or block?
