No CH or HW icos H12

Hot water tap has cold water and no central heating. I have turned on the electric switch and now has hot water. There was burst pipe two weeks back and fixed by a plumber after my failed attempts. After this cold water in the bathroom had less pressure but ignored. From Yesterday night there is no central heating or hot water. Thanks for this forum for the electric switch. Tried resetting but the display stays on 0. What is the next steps please.

Your hot water doesn’t appear to be on via the programmer. Check the thermostat temperature, it appears as though it could be satisfied.

Try overriding the thermostat by pressing the increase button on the thermostat and set a higher temperature then click set.

Those Altech (Salus RT500) programmers are a complete nightmare. No end of trouble with them, they seem to have a mind of their own. That one in the pic isn't calling for heat, that'll be one reason why the CH isn't firing up.

The programmer (pic1) needs to be calling for either HW /CH or both to activate that. Once that's on, CH (left) is currently calling with the red light being on, HW (right) isn't as there's no light. If CH is needed then the thermostat (pic2) needs to be calling for CH too, the set temp in the stat needs to be set above what it shows in its display (room temp), for it then to tell the system to fire up/run the rads.

You need to go and find the manual for the thermostat or a VID.

- watch from 9.20 to see the temp override.

The probable issue would be that the thermostats programme wasn't set to come on - the Altech is what's called a programmable thermostat so you have 5 set times during the day. You programme the thermostat so at a certain the time of the day the room temp should be a certain temp. If it isn't the stat tells the boiler to come on, if the programmer (pic 1) is calling for heat too then the boiler fires up.

If the programmer isn't set to on or if the room temp is higher than what the thermostat has been programmed for, the boiler won't come on.

You need to set the programmer so it's calling for heat for either the CH, HW or both. Then you need to set the thermostat to the same. It becomes confusing as you have, in essence, 2 time controllers, so the times need to be in sync as to when things need to be on.

Get the MI for both controls so you can programme them to your requirements.
