Hi all,

You may have seen my recent posts around suspected lack of mist coat which turned out to be distemper ceilings. However, I do believe the previous owners didn't put a mist coat on when they had the walls skimmed. There's peeling paint in a few places already, and fresh paint I've applied hasn't adhered in a few spots and I've been able to scrape back right to the plaster. For now my tactic is to just scrape back, peelstop and fill. However I'm wondering if there's some miracle product that will prevent fresh paint causing the peeling in the first place? Potentially Gardz will do the job as it'd prevent the moisture from the fresh paint getting back to the plaster, but Gardz is water based so would it have the same impact?

Grateful for any insight here, the thought of having to scrape back to plaster in every room as we come to decorate them is painful
